Six Cambodian Students Evacuated From Sudan

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen shared that six Cambodian students studying in Sudan were evacuated yesterday. They are currently in Saudi Arabia.

During the Closing Ceremony of the 2022 Training Course and Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Training Course of the Royal School of Administration on Thursday morning, 27 April 2023, the Prime Minister explained that the six students were evacuated by ship alongside Malaysian citizens fleeing Sudan.

"Please inform the families of these six students that their children are safe,” he said.

He thanked the Malaysian government for taking care of Cambodians during the evacuation. He also expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for providing short-term accommodation for the students.

The six evacuated Cambodian students were studying at a university in Khartoum, Sudan.
